What Safety Measures Are You Taking?
What is MAT?
Muscle Activation Techniques is a diagnostic tool and a manual treatment. First time clients will have an injury history discussion, then I will look at ranges of motion around problem spots both actively (you move) and passively (I move you). When we find a unilateral range of motion issue (say 1 leg moves better at the knee then the other leg), we have found something to treat. I then treat you, using the manual treatment techniques of MAT to activate your weaker tissues at the problem spot. Afterward we reassess your range of motion (actively & passively again) to make sure we see improvement. When the session is done you should notice the problem area feeling and moving better and you should also receive homework if it is your 2nd visit. First time clients will not have time to receive homework due to how much information we have to go over in the 1st session.
What is the Average Session Length?
Due to on-going safety concerns, session lengths will be 50-minutes and/or 80-minutes. This will allow 10-minutes post session to clean. I will try to end all sessions on-time, and anything we do not accomplish will have to be saved for a follow-up appointment. 20-minute virtual and in-person sessions are also possible for minor discussions, and/or at home exercises.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
All cancellations require a 24-hour advance notice. In the event the client does not provide 24-hour notice, the client will be charged the full amount of the scheduled appointment to the credit card on file.
How Much Are Sessions?
A normal rate for sessions is between $80-$120 depending on the type and timing of the session. These session rates are subject to change as I resume normal levels of client work and business traffic, so please take advantage of those rates while they last!
What are Your Preferred Methods of Payment?
My preferred methods of payment are Cash, Venmo, PayPal and Zelle. I prefer these options as they reduce service fees I have to pay. I am able to accept payment via credit card using the Square App.
Do You take Insurance?
No, MAT Treatments are an out of pocket expense. However, you can usually pay with an HSA/FSA card or get reimbursement from that account with proof of receipt. Its worth checking with your insurer.
What is the Deal with Your Promptness Policy?
It is important for the client to arrive on time for a scheduled appointment. Arriving early is always preferred. In the event the client is late, I will wait ½ the scheduled time of the appointment. After that period I am free from obligation and the client will be charged the full amount of the appointment.
Do I Need to Fill Out Any Forms?
Yes, please download and fill out the forms on my website before your first session.
Do You Offer Personal Training or Small Group Training?
I do have an extensive background in group training, personal training and run coaching. So I may return to leading training sessions again. however I want to establish a strong provider network and leading workouts might be better left for my professional training providers.
